Sam Schroeder

Sam leads acquisitions and capital raising at Pearl Capital and is responsible for the firm’s overall strategic vision. Before founding Pearl Capital, Sam began his career in investment banking at Houlihan Lokey in the Restructuring Group, where he worked on distressed M&A, corporate restructurings, and special situations. He later joined Regent Properties, a real estate private equity firm, where he focused on acquiring and repositioning distressed assets. Sam then served as Head of Real Estate Acquisitions at Carolwood LP, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm, where he led the sourcing, underwriting, and execution of real estate investments, with an emphasis on retail. He holds a degree in Finance from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin and has been involved in over $500 million in transaction volume.
Benji Berkowitz
Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Benji leads operations at Pearl Capital and is responsible for building and scaling the firm’s vertically integrated platform. In addition to founding Pearl Capital, Benji is also a Co-Owner of Colonial Commercial Real Estate, his family’s property management, leasing, and brokerage company with over 40 years of experience operating neighborhood retail centers across the U.S. Benji has led the management and leasing strategy for a national retail portfolio exceeding $600 million in asset value and spanning over three million square feet. Pearl Capital maintains an in-house joint venture with Colonial Commercial Real Estate, creating a vertically integrated platform that enhances day-to-day execution and provides the scalability to support portfolio growth.
